Our Mission

We empower students through the best quality of hands-on learning, to enable their creative process while learning more techniques and fundamentals of sewing and fiber arts, to discover a lifelong love for creating.

Atelier Sew Fun offers after school classes and hands-on sewing programs combined with a basic introduction to finger knitting, crocheting and braiding, that are fun!  Each project is developed accordingly to age, skill level and designed to help young people plan and execute a project with focus and perseverance.


Projects may include stuffed animals, bags and purses, toys, fashion accessories, clothing and more.



Classes are designed for various age groups.  Groups are segmented and range from 5 years - Adult


Students learn in a nurturing and fun environment

Classes are taught by skilled and trained individuals with extensive experience.  


This program helps children build self-esteem through personal sewing success and enhances hand-eye coordination and fine motoric skills.

Gabriela Low

Gabriela comes from a long line of seamstresses, pattern makers and fashion designers and honors this tradition as a sewer and needle-worker. 


Born and raised in Zurich/Switzerland and trained in the medical field and as a behavior therapist for special needs children and adults, Gabriela brings creativity, enthusiasm and patience to the classroom and loves to help young people develop an artistic outlet.


Gabriela and her husband lived in Weston, CT for 19 years and she is well known in the community as a teacher and afterschool educator. When not teaching, Gabriela is interested in photography, yoga, and traveling, but most of all, visiting her three daughters in Boston.

Christine Walder

Christine's upbringing was influenced by both her Grandmothers who were home economics teachers, photographers.


Growing up in Zurich/Switzerland, Christine had an early passion for drawing, painting and the arts. She studied Communications and Design Management and followed a career in creative industries including advertising, exhibition design, and interior design, working with artists, photographers, and writers.


Christine joined "Deutsche Schule at United Nations International School" as a language teacher and provided in-classroom support at a private school in NJ.


Christine lives in Weston, CT since 2017. She is a design and communications consultant and teacher for SEW FUN. When she is not working on projects, Christine enjoys supporting her daughters with their creativity and is interested in art, music, and languages.
